WE TEST: INVICTUS ROLLBAR HANDLES

One common nuisance daily driving a lifted rock crawler on 40” tires is getting in and out of the vehicle due to the modified height. Inevitably, you’ll end up using the steering wheel or part of the door for accessibility, adding undue stress or wear on parts that they were not designed for that. For us, the most ideal solution was to install grab handles, and we recently tested a set from Invictus Off Road.
Based in Newport, NH, Invictus Off Road was founded in 2017 by husband and wife off-road duo, Dave and Kayla, and the company takes design cues from the U.S. Military for a variety of its off-road accessories. We like spending hardearned cash on products designed by enthusiasts, and the company prides itself on quality craftsmanship that can withstand long-term abuse.
There are countless grab handles available, and the Molle Rollbar Handles that we tested are unique and even customizable. The company also offers a range of Molle-inspired utilitarian interior accessories to organize gear, simplify the interior, and keep items snug and easily accessible.
We ordered two sets of accessories (one colour-matched and one camouflage) including custom headrest covers, a centre roll bar wrap, and the grab handles. Installation was a snap and the customizable headrest graphics have been a great addition to our rigs.
These grab handles have been truly the most convenient add-on to our interiors and now kids, spouses, and friends can instinctively reach up and grab them for easy access or for security on the trails. Plus, with mountain bike-inspired bar grips, the strength of the handles is more than capable of managing the weight of an adult without breaking.
Molle paneling is all the rage these days since it’s versatile and functional. We used ours to stow air-down tools, soft shackles, and headlamps.
Yet, each location could be utilized for all sorts of small items that you would typically toss into your vehicle and potentially lose.
Simplifying an off-road rig doesn’t have to be hard. More often than not, it’s the quick and easy installs that make the most sense.
