Sur­rey Board of Trade Con­grat­u­lates New Sur­rey RCMP Of­fi­cer in Charge, Brian Ed­wards

On Jan­uary 6, the Sur­rey RCMP wel­comed a new Of­fi­cer in Charge, As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Brian Ed­wards. “The Sur­rey Board of Trade con­grat­u­lates the new As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner and Sur­rey RCMP Of­fi­cer in Charge Brian Ed­wards on his new role,” said Anita Hu­ber­man, CEO, Sur­rey Board of Trade. “Sur­rey’s city-build­ing busi­ness or­ga­ni­za­tion looks for­ward to work­ing with him. Pub­lic safety in­fra­struc­ture mat­ters to busi­ness, and to our econ­omy.”

ABOUT AS­SIS­TANT COM­MIS­SIONER BRIAN ED­WARDS

As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Ed­wards has over 24 years of polic­ing ex­pe­ri­ence, en­com­pass­ing both mu­nic­i­pal and RCMP po­lice ser­vices. He vol­un­teered as an Aux­il­iary Con­sta­ble with Oko­toks RCMP in Al­berta from 1987-1990 be­fore join­ing the Calgary Po­lice Ser­vice in 1995. As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Ed­wards has a law de­gree and a Masters in Lin­guis­tics from the Univer­sity of Calgary. He lives in White Rock with his fam­ily.
