Surrey Board of Trade Congratulates New Surrey RCMP Officer in Charge, Brian Edwards
On January 6, the Surrey RCMP welcomed a new Officer in Charge, Assistant Commissioner Brian Edwards. “The Surrey Board of Trade congratulates the new Assistant Commissioner and Surrey RCMP Officer in Charge Brian Edwards on his new role,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “Surrey’s city-building business organization looks forward to working with him. ABOUT ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER BRIAN EDWARDS
Assistant Commissioner Edwards has over 24 years of policing experience, encompassing both municipal and RCMP police services. He volunteered as an Auxiliary Constable with Okotoks RCMP in Alberta from 1987-1990 before joining the Calgary Police Service in 1995. Assistant Commissioner Edwards has a law degree and a Masters in Linguistics from the University of Calgary. He lives in White Rock with his family.
