Sur­rey Board of Trade Up­date on BC Gov­ern­ment Eco­nomic Poli­cies 2020

The Sur­rey Board of Trade con­tin­ued their lead­er­ship work in provin­cial gov­ern­ment ad­vo­cacy at the vir­tual BC Cham­ber of Com­merce AGM & Con­ven­tion, which took place in May.

“The Sur­rey Board of Trade pre­sented a va­ri­ety of in­no­va­tive poli­cies to in­sti­gate eco­nomic ac­tiv­ity, in­no­va­tion and in­dus­try sup­port,” said Anita Hu­ber­man, CEO, Sur­rey Board of Trade. “The busi­ness com­mu­nity needs the Sur­rey Board of Trade, and our in­dus­try, now more than ever.”

“Even though the Sur­rey Board of Trade can ad­vo­cate on its own to the var­i­ous lev­els of gov­ern­ment, it is al­ways help­ful when we re­ceive the sup­port of our lead­er­ship-ori­ented poli­cies by other cham­bers of com­merce and boards of trade. Even if we didn’t re­ceive the assem­bly’s sup­port, the Sur­rey Board of Trade will con­tinue to drive our own poli­cies.”
