The Tech Training Certificate Program (TTCP), a one-year program starting on November

9, is an empowering opportunity for adults and youth with diverse abilities to obtain introductory level occupational, employability skills and work experience in sought after technical streams such as Underground Utility Locator, Fire Protection, and Low Voltage. The training will be provided by subject matter experts throughout three cohorts. Each cohort will be offering two technical streams.

While providing benefits such as industryspecific training, workplace safety certification, technical career exploration and employment supports to the participants, this certificate program is also geared towards providing skilled workers to the labour market where there is an already existing and projected shortage of skilled workers.

The tech training certificate program is funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia and is being delivered in collaboration with Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) in Surrey.
