In the spotlight: Passion for science inspires book...

-

ASPIRING author and university-bound student, Sibusisiwe Vundla has penned her debut book titled Unleashing Mental Power With Overcoming Faith inspired by the great passion she has for chemistry to be launched on October 24.

The 20-year-old Vundla, who is set to study chemical engineering at Segi University in Malaysia, told NewsDay Life & Style that the book was about basic steps that can help one lead to self-discovery.

“The great passion I have for chemistry enabled me to pen this book. I want to inspire science students to embrace chemistry from a different angle as it can be passed like any other subject. So students should not shun the subject,” she said.

“During my high school time, most people thought chemistry was a challenging subject and difficult to pass, I want to correct that narrative as I have used the steps I have been taught at school to motivate and inspire others in the book.”

Vundla said the book catered for everyone as it could be used towards selfdiscovery.

“Everyone has something to offer to the world, they just have to unleash it. The book can be read by anyone as I believe that one can still discover themselves no matter how old they are,” she said. Vundla

hopes the book will be well-received on the market and make more sales that will go a long way in helping her to fund her studies.

“The book was published by Soweto Bulletin and Tafaprint. I hope the book will make more sales and help me fund my university studies. I want it to give me some income that can help ease the pressure on my parents,” she said.
