Best Christmas Poems

Many amazing poems often go unpublished because very few publications give aspiring poets the platform to get their work out there.

That’s a sad reality!

But despair no more. The Afro Poetry Times invites all poets – aspiring and seasoned – to submit their poems for publication.

Remember, poetry is a work of art. Your written words can make a huge difference in someone's life. Touch lives through elevation.

Submission Guidelines

We don’t fuss much about it but unfortunately house rules apply everywhere hey.

 All poems must bear the writers full name and nationality

 Poems must not be more than 20 lines

 Only original work will be accepted

 If the poetry is about a true life experience, please provide a one paragraph bio about yourself and the story behind the poem

 We accept poems that have been published elsewhere, provided they are copyright free  The writer will retain copyright of the published poems

 Poems must generally be about Africa, or Africans abroad or on subjects that affect people of African origin
