Sisi Loveness - A Zimbabwean Short Story

- by munyori263

"Loveness! Iwe Loveness!"

"Mhamha!" she shouted achimhanya kwaanga adeedzwa.

"Ndauya Mhamha"

Loveness was standing outside Mai Tauya's bedroom hana ichirova waiting for further instructions.

"Blouse rangu rePink riri kupi? I need to pack it for my flight."

Mai Tauya sounded exhausted. The last few days in the house had been extremely tense. Baba Tauya was been furious with her. How could she decide to go to overseas for 3 months without consulting him? Shuwa munhu kuzotaura with only a little over a month left?

Their marriage had been rocky for a while now.

"Ndofunga riri muWashen basket. Regai ndinokutorerai Mhamha."

Loveness quickly went to the laundry room to look for the blouse. She never wanted to get on Mai Tauya's bad side. The woman was heartless, reminders of her own childhood with an evil stepmother.

Loveness hated thinking back to those times. Airohwa everyday with everything around the house: mugoti, shamhu, poto, bhande. As long as chairwadza. If only her father had lived long enough to rescue her from all that.

While she looked for the blouse, Loveness thought of how she would hear Mai and Baba Tauya fighting every other night. They fought over everything, mostly money. Baba Tauya was a good man. How could

Mai Tauya not see this? Mapudzi anowira kusina hari chokwadi! 'If only he were mine' Loveness thought.

Loveness had been the maid for nearly 10 months now. In the last few, she had taken a liking kuna baba vemba. A tall, dark, hunk of a man he was. His devotion to the gym had paid off handsomely and she admired his muscular frame. He looked a lot younger than his age, one could mistake him for munhu ari in their early 30s rather than early 40s. When he smiled, she would melt. His straight row of white teeth completed that smile well. Ko kugobvuwira kweizwi ravo? Davies Mugadza chaiye! Oh Lord! The man was fiiiiine! A man after her own heart.

Asi angadawo sisi vebasa ndiani? Loveness knew this territory was not hers. Asi kushuvira hakurambidzwi.

On the contrary, Mai Tauya was made in the devil's own image. She thought she was better than what she actually was. Mukadzi aizvida iyeye! Her signature maroon lipstick and overdone makeup summed her up quite nicely. Any woman could tell kuti she was as fake as they came. Her specialty: getting what she wanted at any cost. It didn't matter who was in the way. 'The Bulldozer' Loveness called her. That tenacity is how she ended up with Baba Tauya.

When they met 23 years prior, he was a young, successful Financial Consultant. That meant money. Lots of money. Mai Tauya was jobless armed with desperation. She had to have him and she got him. He had been her ticket to the big leagues and she happened to fall pregnant with Tauya at the right time. Baba Tauya never knew this but he did the right thing culturally. Havana kumboramba his responsibilities. Loveness had overheard Mai Tauya talking to her mother numerous times about it. How could she brag about being a conniving and deceitful woman? Hazvimeki sense!

"Ndariwana blouse renyu iri Mhamha."

She handed the pink blouse to Mai Tauya by extending her hand into the bedroom through an ever so slightly opened door. It was packed away in haste. Mai Tauya knew it was time to leave for the airport or she would be late. As her bags were loaded into the boot of her trendy BMW i3, she left a message for Baba Tauya.

"Tell him to make sure Tauya's ticket is booked for the end of semester next week. He usually forgets."

Tauya was away at Rhodes University finishing his 4th year of undergrad. Anga ava kutosvitsa gore asati adzokera kumba. Later in the evening as she brought Baba Tauya mvura yekugeza maoko, Loveness knelt right in front of him and extended dish ranga rine mvura kwavari. Her cleavage was visible with her breasts looking fuller than he had even cared to see. Any man would have noticed.

Baba Tauya acted like he had not seen a thing yet he glanced when she walked away. Mwana anga akanaka uyu! His own wife had last satisfied him many months before.

Whenever Mai Tauya was around, Loveness would wear this hideous floral uniform that was bought for her. It also had a matching 'doek/dhuku'. The outfit made her look much older than she was and quite unappealing. It was the wrong size too. Loveness believed this had been a deliberate move by Mai Tauya. Vakadzi vanozivana or at least vanoziva varume vavo. This time she wore a short skirt and a very tight top. Coincidence?

Akadzokera kuKitchen to get him his food. When she knelt again in front of Baba Tauya, this time to offer him his plate of food, their eyes met momentarily. She froze. It was the very first time she had dared to look at him directly. Mai Tauya would have killed her otherwise! He took the plate with one hand vakagadzika paCoffee Table while the other hand gently touched her hand that had been holding the plate. It was not an intentional gesture. Loveness akavhunduka. This was unexpected. She quickly snatched her hand away from him, got up and headed straight for the kitchen. Hana yake yairova zvisingaiti. No words had been exchanged.

'Mai Tauya has only been away for a few hours. Maybe she hasn't even left the country. Ndingadzingwa basa pano.' By the time she went to clear his plate, Baba Tauya had left the room. Loveness did not know what to make of zvanga zvaitika earlier between them. She felt like an infatuated teen overflowing with excitement yet equally scared. Paakadzokera kuKitchen she was ready to call it a day after asuka maPlates.

Achiimba hake song yaAmmara Brown naTytan inonzi Mukoko, she turned round to reach for mamwe maPlates that she was washing. He was right there. Lust was burning in his eyes. The lust for a woman outside any expectation of him. She represented an insatiable desire, never before explored. Without a word said he took her by the hand, drew her closer and kissed her. MaDreams aLoveness were coming true. She didn't resist, how could she?

It had been so long since a man touched her in this way, let alone a man she secretly desired. He kissed her neck. Left side. Right side. Goosebumps. Back to the left vachimurumirira which gave an electrifying sensation. Baba Tauya just spun her round zvisina warning while gently squeezing her firm bosom with his right arm, both her arms were holding the sink counter. He lifted skirt vakapfenyera her panties to the side. A man in charge indeed. By then Loveness had long been ready for him.

They made love.

Round 1.

Round 2.

Round 3.

This was the Baba Tauya the world never knew. In society he was revered as an honourable man of little fault. His weakness was apparent. When the cat is away...

They both collapsed to the floor gasping for air. Vakachimhanya that night! She didn't know what to say but she had a smile of satisfaction on her face. He held her as she laid her head on his very manly chest.

"I've been waiting for this for a long time. Pandakuona nhasi I knew kuti I had to do something."

She still had no words. He gave her a forehead kiss and said, "Ndaakunovata ini" while he put on his track pants and t-shirt. Munoaziva maMuscle Top aya aya? The man was built like a tank! Thus started the affair. Nearly every night they made love after he got home from work. He had such an appetite for her. She wondered when he would finally get his fill yet she didn't want it to ever stop.

Baba Tauya even gave her a day off and some money to buy better clothes and whatever else she wanted. Loveness was living the maids' dream! Pakadzoka Tauya from varsity, he had Uber'd home. His dad was very busy with a corporate takeover which was the biggest deal of his career. Loveness akamutambira pagedhe. He had taken after his father in height and complexion. Tauya was not quite as handsome as his dad but she took a liking to his openness and bold character.

"You must be Loveness" he said, extending out his hand for a handshake.

"Yes" she said shyly.

"Wakadii hako Tauya?"

"Ndiri right zvangu, I'm guessing it's just us today?"

"Ehe, baba vachiri kubasa havasati vadzoka."

He refused to let her help him carry his bags.

Generally, Baba Tauya had a tendency yekushanda late. Everyone assumed it was legitimately work-related but angaziva ndiani? This meant that for most of the evenings, Tauya and Loveness were alone in the house. Tauya was always the child with radical ideologies. He never supported what he called 'the subtle mistreatment of other human beings' as ana sisi vebasa or garden boys. He would invite Loveness to watch movies with him. It was his way of making her feel that she was more than a maid in this life.

"Tauya, ndikabatwa ndisina kuita basa ndinodzingwa. Usandifurire please" she said playfully.

"Ah Loveness, you work for my parents so you work for me" Tauya said with a smile.

The nature of their relationship was always friendly. They got along well especially being almost the same age. Tauya had no clue about the affair between Loveness and his father. He invited Loveness to watch the new Kevin Hart movie naye. As they laughed throughout vakagara havo paSofa, she moved closer to him. He put his arm round her zviri so protective she felt at home.

All it took was one moment for their eyes to meet after a scene they both liked. They smiled at one another then kissed. This led to a frenzy of kubvisana hembe like vanhu vanodanana vasina kuonana kwemakore. He had little control over what he did, all he knew was what he wanted; her. She had beautiful legs and Mwari had given her

'DVD' rakaipa. Eish! It was a clumsy but spirited effort by the young man with his inexperience taking over.

"Usanyanye kumhanya Tauya" she whispered gently into his ear.

He had never been with a maid before. It just turned him on further. Tauya akatora ruoko rwababa vake rwekuchiva vakadzi chokwadi! She pushed him to lie on his back paSofa ipapo. With one leg over him, Loveness rode him like a woman possessed. It took him no more than 2 minutes to explode inside her vese vachifemereka.

What an adrenaline rush!

"I love you" he said breathing heavily.

She smiled and kissed him knowing that it was all in the moment.

Therein was the confirmation... Loveness was sleeping with father and son mumba imwechete.

As they say, be careful what you wish for. Loveness enjoyed every waking moment of this fantasy she was living. What had started out as a mere fantasy had turned into an exciting, confusing yet potentially dangerous escapade. She started to dream of the day Baba Tauya would ask her to become his second wife. Mai Tauya would treat her like a slave no longer. Her life would be perfect and this big house would become part of her own legacy: The Rise of The Maid. But wait... there was also Tauya!

Zvinonetsa izvi! But she never let the thought take over her. Neither father nor son suspected the other of being up to no good with the maid. One evening a few weeks later, Tauya thought he heard a scuffle of some sort from the side of the house kwaive neRoom yaLoveness. He decided to investigate. After all, he cared. As he got closer he heard a male voice shouting.

"Loveness you are not serious!"

"Why would I lie to you shuwa?" she was wheeping.
