The "arts” can mean many different forms of expression. An artist uses skill and imagination to create something that has meaning to them. Their creations often draw a response from others. These can include admiration of a beautiful sculpture, feelings of sadness from an emotional poem or pleasure from a funny play.

Poetry is an amazing thing that we’re able to witness: it can evoke strong emotions and can help us make sense of what’s happening in the world.
