2010 ARLS awarded him for ‘Contributions to the genus lilium’ at his 100-year life marker.

1995 awarded by NALS to individuals for outstanding contributions to the genus lilium. 2003 AHA “Excellence in Lily Breeding”

Terry Willoughby NALS Regional Medal Award
2006 ARLS 2007 awarded by NALS for most breeding advancement for a seedling hybridized and grown from seed by the exhibitor, for a martagon seedling as yet unregistered.
Emerson Hickling Award Alex Burnett 1922-2012 S.L. Emsweller Award
1995 awarded by NALS for three different tetraploid lilies, one stem each identified, for “Pumenta”, 87913 seedling., 8964 seedling. 2003 AHA “Excellence in Lily Breeding” 2005 presented by ARLS
