Kids single pull

1st: Austin Daniels and Chub, 5,750 lbs. haul; 2nd: Jill Daniels and Peggy, 6,000 lbs.; 3rd: Gavin Best and Molly, 4,250 lbs.; 4th: Walker Ruggles and Champ, 3,250 lbs.; 5th: Tyler Daniels and Barb, 3,000 lbs.

Austin Daniels received the trophy in memory of Heidi and Billy Daniels and the trophy in memory of Heidi Daniels for first place in kids pull. Jill Daniels won a cash prize for best performance in kids pull and Tyler Daniels was the winner of a cash prize for lowest percentage in the kids pull.

Bobby Daniels received the Lorimer Daniels memorial trophy for the highest per- centage of the day in double horses.

Josh Prall was awarded the Clayton Taylor memorial trophy for the best performance of the day in double horses.

Kirk Starratt Nine-year-old Jill Daniels, seen here with her horse, Peggy, took second place in the children’s pull Sept. 3 held at the Western Nova Scotia Draft Horse Association’s pull. Peggy weighs 1,785 pounds and pulled 6,000 pounds. The duo were competing in the kids’ pull, for ages eight to 16.
