Two 20-year-old males were arrested in New Minas after police stopped the car they were travelling in at 3:33 a.m. The passenger was released when sober, but the driver, a Saskatchew­an man, is facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while impaired, failure to comply with a demand to give a breath sample and failing to stop as soon as possible while being pursued by a peace officer.

A theft from a Greenwood business was reported. It is still under investigat­ion.

There was a hit and run reported from the parking lot of a New Minas business at 2 p.m.

A shopliftin­g complaint was received from a business in New Minas. A 19-yearold male is facing a theft under $5,000 charge.

Two vehicles collided in the parking lot of an Aylesford business. No one was injured.

Police were called to assist a motorist whose vehicle was stuck on a dirt road in South Berwick. A member responded to ensure everyone was OK, and a snowmobile trail groomer towed the stranded vehicle.

A theft of an iPhone was reported in Auburn.

Police responded to a complaint of uttering threats in Waterville at 11:38 p.m. The matter is still under investigat­ion.

A complaint of theft of items valued less than $5,000 was received from a business in Wolfville. It is still under investigat­ion.

An intoxicate­d male being unco-operative with police was apprehende­d in Wolfville, and released when sober.

March 7

Police responded to a complaint of a group of people causing a noise disturbanc­e in North Kentville at 1:54 a.m. All was quiet when the responding members arrived.

It was reported an intoxicate­d male was wandering around Greenwood. Police responded, but did not locate the individual. They later learned friends picked him up.

Police issued a warning in Wolfville upon responding to a complaint that students were drinking in a backyard. There were no further complaints.

A 33-year-old Coldbrook man was arrested following a two-vehicle collision in Coldbrook at about 9:26 a.m. The man is facing impaired driving charges. No one was injured.

A youth male was arrested for breaching the conditions of a court order in Kingston. He is facing four breach-related charges.

A break and enter into a residentia­l garage in Waterville was reported. The owners are unsure what was taken. The

investigat­ion continues.

March 8

At 5:38 a.m., a woman called to report a break and enter after finding a strange man standing in her foyer. A 19-year-old Wolfville man is facing charges of unlawfully being in a dwelling and trespassin­g at night.

A mischief complaint was received from a residence in East Tremont.

Police received a call to assist a complainan­t in the Wolfville area who was stuck inside her residence because her exterior door had been tampered with. It turned out the doorknob had been broken by someone who was trying to get into a party that was actually at a neighbour’s house.

There was a complaint of loud partying in Wolfville. Police attended and there were no further issues.

Police received a noise complaint about motorists revving their engines in Wolfville.

There was a landlord and tenant issue in Kingston.

Police completed a well-being check in East Dalhousie. Everything was fine.

There was a report of shopliftin­g from a business Kingston. The amount of stolen goods was valued under $5,000. The investigat­ion continues.

A wallet that was found was turned in in Wolfville.

A breach of a court order was reported in North Kentville. It is under investigat­ion.

A complaint of harassment via Facebook was reported from Steam Mill.

A woman in North Kentville reported that she heard someone on her roof at 10:20 p.m. A 28-year-old male was arrested and the matter is still under investigat­ion. Charges are pending.

March 9

A 19-year-old Port Williams man was arrested for an alleged assault. He is facing charges of assault, uttering threats and assault causing bodily harm. The incident was reported on March 9, but occurred before that date.

Police received a complaint of threats being uttered in Cambridge.

There was a hit and run in the parking lot of a New Minas business and a Coldbrook business.

As a result of a driving complaint, police charged a 36-year-old Berwick man with smoking in a vehicle when a person under the age of 19 was present.

An 18-year-old Windsor male was arrested in New Minas. He is facing an assault charge.

A complaint over Internet-related fraud was received in Kingston. It is under investigat­ion.

In addition, 12 911 calls were received, five check stops were completed throughout the county, three false alarms sounded and there were five mental health calls.

The detachment received five reports of missing persons, but all of the cases resulted in the individual returning home.

Eight driving complaints were receiving, including a report of vehicles racing and dangerous driving on Highway 101 in Berwick, Woodville, Wolfville and Avonport.

There were motor vehicle collisions in North Kentville, Somerset, Aylesford, Hillaton, Lakeville and Greenwich, but no reports of serious injuries.
