Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre has a new board chair
The Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre (AEC) has a new chairman, Craig Collins, principal of NSCC Lunenburg campus.
Previous chairman, Andrew Button, founder of Mashup Lab and C03, a co-working space in Bridgewater, served for three years.
“I’m pleased to have the opportunity to serve as board chair for the Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre, said Collins.
“I look forward to working with my board colleagues in supporting the centre’s work of supporting entrepreneurs in Nova Scotia.”
In addition to Collins, two new members were appointed. Dr. Jeff Hooper, Acadia University’s Acting Dean of Science and Daniel McFadyen will serve as the student representative on the board. Heather Hemming, Acadia’s vice-president academic, was re-appointed as vice chairwoman.
“We are very pleased to have Craig continue with the board and assume the role of chair. He brings an astute mind and important connection to NSCC and its engagement throughout rural NS,” said AEC executive director Findlay MacRae.
“We have been fortunate to have benefitted from Andrew’s varied experience during his time on the board, and look forward to continuing to engage with him as a key stakeholder in the community,” MacRae said.
Other board members include: Dr. Jeffrey Banks, Dr. Heather Hemming, student Bethany Dickey, Glyn Bissix, Dr. Robert Perrin and Ryan MacNeil.
