Mark the dates on your calendar

There are a number of key events taking place in the community.

The Town of Berwick Volunteer Celebration takes place April 19 at the Lions Club at the Apple Dome. The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. with a reception to follow the presentations.

April 23 is the date for a country music show featuring Ruth Manning and the Prospectors band, with special guest Matt Balsor. Door opens at 1 p.m., show starts at 2 p.m. Admission is $10.

On April 29 at the Somerset Hall there will be a flea market. Admission is free and the event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There were six tables of 45s in play at the South Berwick Community Hall on April 11.

Prizewinners were first, Shirley Rogers; second, Al Sipley; third, Shirley Jones; fourth, Roxie Redden; 50/50, Gertie Smith and the door prize went to Rupert Reeves.
