Police arrest two following search of Middleton residence
Two residents of an apartment in Middleton are facing charges after police executed a search warrant the morning of Jan. 23.
Annapolis District RCMP are investigating recent breakand-enters in the area and with the assistance of Annapolis District Street Crime Unit gained sufficient intelligence to obtain a search warrant, police said.
During the search police located one firearm, ammunition, and stolen property.
A 27-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both of Middleton, have been charged with:
· Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
· Possession of a firearm knowing it›s unauthorized, and
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both accused will appear in Digby Provincial Court on Feb. 27.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by the Annapolis District Street Crime Enforcement Unit with assistance from Annapolis District RCMP members.
