Embracing communities events is worthwhile

- Bev Richardson

Sometimes it pays to venture out.

Tony Harris and I recently attended the supper at The Forties Community Centre. It was a beautiful drive there, and we were not the only ones wanting to experience it. We arrived at 4:05 p.m. and we were in line as guests 187 and 188. Supper was a delicious roast beef and, as an added bonus in my opinion, was a small container of sauerkraut salad, which was excellent. (And let me tell you, I know my sauerkraut salad!) Desserts were good as well and we saw several other people there from the Valley. We were told people were there from Halifax, Windsor, Bridgewater, and other places.
