Membership drive: free library cards available throughout the Annapolis Valley

Annapolis Valley Register - - ARTS -

October is a month of many celebrations, including Canadian Library Month.

During this month, the Annapolis Valley Regional Library is holding a membership drive. Regional library employees are asking the question: “What if everyone had a library card?”

A free library card grants access to books, movies, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, online homework help, bikes, fitness equipment, cultural events, art classes, computer workshops, free Wi-Fi - and much more. Visit the local library to learn more about what’s in store with a library card.

Library staff will be out in the community, at farmers markets, schools, and community events. Ask them for a card, or register online.

Libaries throughout the region will be hosting events in October. Games nights, book clubs, story-time sessions, pumpkin carving, writing workshops, and even a Harry Potter Party are among the events planned.

Visit valleyli for more information about how to get a library card for the entire family.
