Santa Claus Parade delights at Greenwood Mall

Few things draw a crowd quite like the promise of Santa Claus.

Spectators lined the sides of the hallway spanning the Greenwood Mall Nov. 17 to catch a glimpse of the Santa Claus Parade.

Parade entries spanned from costumed characters and cadets, to performances by such groups as West Kings District High School’s drumline and the Sole Expressions Dance Company.

The parade marks the beginning of a busy holiday shopping season, and serves as a reminder that Santa will be available for photos at his special spot in the mall leading up to the jolly old elf’s busiest day of the year.

Town Crier Lloyd Smith got the parade off to a merry start.

From costumed characters to local performers, there was no shortage of sights to behold.
