Older drivers can brush up on rules of the road

- LAWRENCETOWN, N.S.

If you need a refresher on the rules of the road and understand about insurance, the Annapolis District RCMP’s Seniors Safety Program will be sponsoring presentations on Nov. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lawrencetown fire hall.

Program co-ordinator Sharon Elliott said presentations include one by the RCMP focusing on driving regulations and road safety. Discover Driving will review the rules of the road, and Fairway Insurance will talk about changes in the insurance industry and other important information for drivers.

“These presentations will cover information in numerous driving settings and situations, including school zones, The Move Over Law, right-of-way at intersections, rules for motorists in passing lanes, speeding offences, and the insurance industry,” said Elliott.

The presentations are open to the public, free of charge, and no registration is required. For more information, contact Elliott at 902-665-4481.
