Older driv­ers can brush up on rules of the road

If you need a re­fresher on the rules of the road and un­der­stand about in­sur­ance, the An­napo­lis District RCMP’s Se­niors Safety Pro­gram will be spon­sor­ing pre­sen­ta­tions on Nov. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lawrence­town fire hall.

Pro­gram co-or­di­na­tor Sharon El­liott said pre­sen­ta­tions in­clude one by the RCMP fo­cus­ing on driv­ing reg­u­la­tions and road safety. Dis­cover Driv­ing will re­view the rules of the road, and Fair­way In­sur­ance will talk about changes in the in­sur­ance in­dus­try and other im­por­tant in­for­ma­tion for driv­ers.

“Th­ese pre­sen­ta­tions will cover in­for­ma­tion in nu­mer­ous driv­ing set­tings and sit­u­a­tions, in­clud­ing school zones, The Move Over Law, right-of-way at in­ter­sec­tions, rules for mo­torists in pass­ing lanes, speed­ing of­fences, and the in­sur­ance in­dus­try,” said El­liott.
