Feed My Sheep Share Donation
Feed My Sheep has been a free community meal hosted in Lawrencetown for seven years and has become a place where friendships blossom and families meet.
This past summer people from the meal had the opportunity to help the Annapolis Valley Exhibition with running the parking lot. In the process, individuals learned new skills and developed themselves in a friendly environment. The task needed additional people, so other organizations lent a hand including Lawrencetown Lions Club, New Germany Lions Club, the Nazarene Church, and Open Arms.
In recognition of the work of the individual volunteers, the Annapolis Valley Exhibition made a donation that was used to create the Feed My Sheep Society. The society’s board has recognized the organizations who helped by making donations to them.
Recently, Feed My Sheep welcomed Lion Karel Deneve at the weekly free community meal held at the World Missions Center in Paradise to receive a donation cheque of $616 for the Lawrencetown and District Lions Club.
Thanks to the generous donation from the Annapolis Valley Exhibition, the Feed My Sheep Society is funding the free community meal, providing assistance to people from the local community who are in crisis, and helping other organizations, such as the Lions Club, who in turn help the local community.
Spokesman Simon Goodfellow said Feed My Sheep extends its gratitude to the exhibition and the individuals and organizations who played a part in making this successful.
The Feed My Sheep free com- munity meals are on Fridays until the end of April, serving from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Word Missions Center, 10443 Highway 1, Paradise.
