Berwick community gets in the holiday y spiritp
The next full moon is on Dec. 22 and it’s called the Cold Moon. How appropriate, I’ve been finding it a bit chilly lately!
The MacPherson Auxiliary of the Berwick Baptist Church recently met with president Marilyn Reeves bringing the thought for the day. It was something to really consider: the Biggest Room in the World is the Room for Improvement.
Carolyn Graves led the devotion with several readings, including The Angels’ Song, God’s Christmas Tree and It Must Have Been. Reeves read a Christmas prayer and the group prepared Christmas cards to go out. Rev. Evan and Kyla Coford and Andrew Porter, youth minister, were invited guests and an exchange of gifts from secret pals took place.

On Dec. 13 several people gathered at Christ Church hall where they made Christmas crafts including a small wreath ornament and a woolly sheep. Twila Robar-DeCoste was the instructor and this was sponsored by the Spiritual Development group.

At the Berwick Library, several people recently gathered to make an evergreen centrepiece. Although several may have felt less than crafty, instructor Julia Rose gave very clear step-bystep instructions and everyone went home with a lovely centrepiece.

Coming up at the Berwick Library is a Winter Solstice Celebration on Dec. 21 from noon until 8 p.m. Warm up with a cup of hot cider, some treats, and make a craft. December 21 is the first day of winter.
Since this is the last edition before Christmas, I would like to wish one and all a lovely Christmas.
