Toy Trot continues to spread holiday cheer in the Valley

EXIT Realty hosted its seventh annual 5K Toy Trot on Nov. 17, with routes in both Greenwood and Wolfville.

More than 300 people came out at the two locations and spirits were warm, despite the sub-zero temperature.

All registration fees ($10), plus an unwrapped toy, went to the Christmas Mommies &

Daddies out of the Greenwood event location, and to the Valley Big Brothers Big Sisters from the gathering in Wolfville.

Several first-time 5K runners of all ages showed up to support the worthy cause.

Getting outside on a super chilly day is not an easy sell, but the crowd came through for those in need of a helpful boost around the holidays.
