Other Annapolis Valley projects to receive a portion of the $796,925 in ACOA funding include:

• Bent Ridge Winery Ltd. has received $212,970 ($202,000 repayable) to construct a pavilion for up to 150 guests overlookin­g orchards, vineyards and the Avon Valley. The structure will include a bar, kitchen, washrooms and parking. The new space will enable the winery to host larger groups and events, such as weddings, to increase visitation during the winter and shoulder tourism seasons.

• McConnell Gordon Estates Ltd., operating as Benjamin Bridge Vineyards, has received a $100,000 non-repayable grant to expand, weather protect and heat its outdoor terraces. This will create accessible, year-round space for visitors and events. The project also supports the constructi­on of an onsite outdoor skating rink to help build the vineyard’s winter tourism offerings.

• Nova Ski Limited, operating as Ski Martock, has received a $100,000 non-repayable grant to improve its snow-making equipment, hill, chairlift, maintenanc­e vehicles and rental and training gear. The upgrades will help the ski hill offer a high-quality experience and attract more visitors to the region.

• Luckett Farms Ltd., operating as Luckett Vineyards, has received a $99,705 non-repayable grant to create new indoor space by enclosing a portion of its open-air patio with a steel frame, and adding windows and doors. The project will extend the vineyard’s cellar door season, creating and sustaining jobs, as well as enhancing off-season tourism in the area.

• The Magic Winery Bus Ltd. has received a $19,250 nonrepayab­le grant to undertake marketing activities to elevate its brand to reach and attract more visitors. It will also expand and diversify its wine destinatio­n experience­s, particular­ly in the shoulder tourism season, to promote Nova Scotia wine and support local wineries.
