WEAPONS CUPBOARD IS BARE

-

Our federal government is embarrassing us by not telling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that we have nothing more to give him. Our weapons cupboard is empty. We can’t supply our own Armed Forces. The state of our military is an embarrassment. What would we do if we were attacked?

It is heart-breaking to see this man making impassioned pleas for help in preventing the murder of his people and he gets no concrete response. Everyone stands and claps and cheers after his presentations. That is not much help in preventing the killing of his people by Russian forces. It is like throwing a drowning person a boat anchor as a life preserver.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seems to shrug off the devastation that is happening by saying we have lots to think about, but we are going to keep on doing what we have been doing, which is very little.

Western European countries must stop the destruction and murder that is going on in Ukraine. An air defence must be provided to stop the bombing of women and children. It is time to call Vladimir Putin's bluff and get involved. He knows that if he uses atomic weapons, the same will be returned to his country.

There is going to be a full conflict with Putin eventually; let’s get it over with now. When he’s finished with the present battle, he’ll move on to attacking other neighbours.

No one has learned anything from what happened when the Nazis destroyed Europe. Everyone gave in at the beginning of their rise to power. The exact same scenario is being played out now.
