(TPS) is ask­ing for the pub­lic’s as­sis­tance in iden­ti­fy­ing and lo­cat­ing a male sus­pect who was wit­nessed set­ting fire to garbage left out for col­lec­tion in the area bounded by Har­bord Street, Bloor Street, Bathurst Street and Palmer­ston Street. This se­ries of garbage fires oc­curred be­tween 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 2. The sus­pect tar­geted ad­dresses with large garbage items, in­clud­ing doors, so­fas and mat­tresses. A mo­tor­cy­cle was also set on fire. Po­lice are cur­rently seek­ing wit­nesses.

A 20-year-old male sus­pect

has been charged with two counts each of at­tempted mur­der, point­ing a firearm, reck­less dis­charge of a firearm and pos­ses­sion of a firearm, fol­low­ing a shoot­ing in York­dale Shop­ping Cen­tre that oc­curred on Aug. 30. The sus­pect was found and ar­rested with­out in­ci­dent on Sept. 3. It is al­leged that at the time of the shoot­ing, two groups of males had an al­ter­ca­tion, which re­sulted in two shots fired. No one was in­jured. Un­til his ar­rest, the sus­pect was con­sid­ered armed and dan­ger­ous. He ap­peared in court on Sept. 4.

(TPS) has ar­rested a 70-year-old male sus­pect in re­la­tion to a sex­ual as­sault dat­ing back to Septem­ber 2016. The in­ci­dent oc­curred on a TTC bus in the area of Eglin­ton Av­enue West and Av­enue Road when a 40-year-old fe­male vic­tim was sex­u­ally as­saulted by an­other pas­sen­ger. On Sept. 12 of this year, the vic­tim was trav­el­ling on a bus, rec­og­nized the sus­pect and was able to pho­to­graph him. The sus­pect was ar­rested two days after the po­lice re­leased his pho­to­graph and was charged with one count of sex­ual as­sault.
