Three unknown male suspects are wanted after a home invasion robbery. Toronto Police Service, Hold Up Unit is seeking assistance in identifying the suspects, who forced their way into the home of a 67-year old male victim.
“The Toronto Police Service (TPS) is appealing to the public for assistance locating and identifying the suspects described in the home invasion investigation,” said Katrina Arrogante, media relations spokesperson for TPS.
On Thursday, Sept. 27, at approximately 7:15 a.m. the victim answered a knock on his door in the Eglinton Avenue West and Yonge Street area. He was confronted by three armed assailants, wearing construction vests, hard hats and dust masks. They were also carrying a blue and white cooler.
The suspects allegedly overpowered the victim and entered the home. They tied up the owner, making demands for money and other valuables and continuing to assault him.
The three suspects then proceeded to ransack the home but failed to obtain anything of value. They were seen fleeing the premises in what is believed to be a grey or blue Nissan Maxima.
The victim was able to free himself once the suspects were gone and contacted the police immediately. Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim severly injured.
Identifying these men is crucial for police so that they can pursue further action. Security footage of the three suspects was realeased and anyone with information is asked to contact TPS.
