Two men questioned by police after shots were fired in Guildford area

Surrey: Surrey RCMP is currently on scene in the Guildford area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired. At approximately 6:40 p.m. on January 2nd, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 14000 block of 115A Ave., Surrey. Evidence was located confirming that shots had been fired.

Initial reports indicated that a Dark Coloured S.U.V. was observed driving away from the area with its headlights off. A similar vehicle was located, and 3 persons have been detained.

One occupant has since been released while one male in his 40s and one male in his 30s remain in-custody while the investigation continues. The Honda has been seized for investigational purposes.

There were no injuries reported and no individuals were inside the residence at the time of the shooting. Investigators believe this to be a targeted occurrence. Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted incident.
