5 Tips For CREATING EFFECTIVE SEO Content
This is my last article in a series of 5 that have appeared in the Asian Journal over the past few weeks. In these articles I covered maximizing your SEO content to rank higher in the search engines and drive more business to your website. I’ll finish this series with a summary of what I covered and an exclusive offer.
Identify Your Audience Always start with a crystal-clear idea of who your audience is. Only then can you design your targeted SEO content. Who are they? What do they do? What are their problems? What service or product are they searching for? Why are they searching for this product or service? Are there particular things they like/dislike? Once defined you can be confident that your SEO content will be tailored to engage with these people.
Assess Content Readability
The readability of your SEO content is extremely important and can be the difference between SEO that engages and coverts, and SEO that goes nowhere. Start by making sure your content is readable by focusing on structure, vocabulary, grammar, and your message. If people arrive at your site only to find confusing, poorly written content, they will be quick to navigate away to your competition.
Titles and subtitles are not only important tools for search engine visibility, but also in creating a structure that is easy to follow. Your title should be relevant and include your keywords, helping your target audience to immediately understand what your page is offering. Subtitles should break your content into logical sections to allow for easy navigation through the information.
Be Selective With Your Keywords
Before creating any content, I suggest that you do some research on what keywords your target is using to search for the product or service you are offering. Look at the competitiveness of these keywords and if there is strong competition, try using longer keyword phrases to reduce the competition and ensure your page becomes more visible in searches.
Link To Previous Content
Links are an important part of SEO and can include internal and external links. An easy way to improve the effectiveness of your SEO is to link to past content that is relevant to your article.
Take Away
The internet is a highly competitive place. To stand out and be noticed you need to be original.
Create content that presents a unique perspective or offers relevant, valuable, usable information to your visitors.
SEO content should not be static but continuously reviewed and updated to ensure you are optimising your website to rank highest in searches. An exclusive offer to Asian Journal readers.
