Port Moody-coquitlam BC Liberals welcome new candidate James Robertson

-

Port Moody/coquitlam: The BC Liberals have continued the party’s renewal by officially nominating James Robertson as the party’s candidate in Port Moody-coquitlam for the next provincial election, which could take place at any time. Robertson’s nomination meeting at the Old Orchard Hall in Port Moody today was attended by community leaders and supporters from throughout the region. A leadership coach, management consultant, veteran, and father, Robertson is ready to meet residents and discuss their priorities for the community.

Joined by BC Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson and former BC Liberal MLA Iain Black, Robertson was acclaimed as the next BC Liberal candidate in a riding where the difference between the NDP and the BC Liberals was only 1,844 votes in 2017.

“We’re delighted to welcome James to our renewed BC Liberal team as we build towards a prosperous, affordable, and sustainable British Columbia,” said Wilkinson. “James has been a tireless champion for the community here in Port Moody and Coquitlam, and our team will benefit enormously from his work ethic and diverse experience.” “Port Moody-coquitlam residents, and especially young families like mine, are frustrated by the lack of progress on housing affordability, transit, and protecting the environment,” said Robertson. “I’m honoured to be part of Andrew Wilkinson’s BC Liberal team and work together to make these issues a priority in Victoria.”
