Now that sum­mer is over, it’s time to get back to work – or at least to talk about it. Af­ter go­ing through our June is­sue, which ex­am­ined, among other top­ics, the in­creas­ing aban­don­ment of open-con­cept of­fice de­signs (“The Re­turn to Pri­vacy,” page 084), me­dia strate­gist John Macpher­son wrote via Linkedin to sig­nal his ap­proval. “I have worked in both [open-con­cept and for­mally or­ga­nized] en­vi­ron­ments and have found that open-con­cept floor plans are less pro­duc­tive. While they may foster in­creased col­lab­o­ra­tion, they also cre­ate a lot of dis­rup­tion and the po­ten­tial for more time spent on staff so­cial­iza­tion.” It wasn’t staff so­cial­iza­tion (we swear!) that re­sulted in an er­ror in the Septem­ber is­sue’s back-of-book Spec Sheet on bath­room prod­ucts, but a cor­rec­tion must be made none­the­less: On page 107, we iden­ti­fied the man­u­fac­turer of the AK/25 faucet by Paik Sun Kim as be­ing solely Fan­tini.
