A male suspect driving
a white minivan allegedly posed as an Uber driver in late April and sexually assaulted a female victim in the Mount Pleasant Road and Bloor Street East area. On April 28, at approximately 2 a.m., a 19-year-old woman got into a van driven by a man claiming to be an Uber driver in the Bloor Street West and Madison Avenue area. She was driven to a secluded area near Mount Pleasant and Bloor and was sexually assaulted by the suspect. She was able to fight him off and escape. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

(TPS) officers are searching for a male suspect accused of stabbing a victim inside the Spadina subway station. On May 20, at 3:58 p.m., officers responded to a call about a stabbing at the station. It is reported that a 46-year-old male victim was standing in the pedestrian tunnel that connects lines 1 and 2 when he was approached from behind by an unknown suspect and stabbed with an unknown object. The suspect then fled the station. A description of the suspect has been posted on the TPS website. He is believed to be violent, armed and dangerous.
A stabbing in the Empress Walk
area has led to the arrest of a 23year-old male, of Toronto, charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. On May 8, at 7 p.m., a 22-year-old male victim was stabbed repeatedly in the North York shopping complex. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Toronto Police Service (TPS) arrested a male suspect later that same day and has also charged him with carrying a concealed weapon. Anyone who witnessed the fight that occurred prior to the incident is urged to contact police.
