A young male victim is dead after attempting to flee from police on his motorcycle. On Sunday, Nov. 11, Toronto Police Service officers pulled over the motorcyclist who was travelling on Highway 401 near the Leslie Street ramp. As the officer exited his car and approached the rider, the victim decided to make a run for it and sped away. He proceeded to go down the westbound ramp, going in the wrong direction, and crashed into an incoming vehicle. There were no injuries to the passengers in the car, but the rider died at the scene.
Three males suspects have been arrested in relation to a series of robberies that occurred on Yonge between Sheppard and Finch. From Oct. 25 to 30, police responded to seven incidents in this area. It’s alleged, the suspects, driving a sedan, followed the victims and proceeded to rob them of all valuables. The three are charged with five counts of robbery including robbery with a firearm, robbery with intent and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Toronto Police Service.
Toronto Police Service (TPS) has arrested a 29-year-old male suspect in two assault investigations. On Sept. 26, Police received a call for an assault in the area of Yonge Street and Runberry Court. Police reported that the assault took place in an elevator. Another incident occurred on Oct. 19, when officers responded to a call in the Yonge Street and Cummer Avenue area, where they found a 56-year-old male victim suffering from stab wounds. The accused is facing multiple charges, including assault with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
