Best Home (Canada) - - What's New & Different? -

Singular styling and effusive charm succinctly characterize this Keswick show home from Carriage Signature Homes, capturing one’s full attention once you walk in the door. Original in concept, features, and interior design, their homes communicate a sense of awe and a desire to reconsider old wish lists.

Always dedicated to beautifying Edmonton’s streetscapes with well-crafted appeal and lasting value, Carriage is a custom homebuilder who demonstrates standards that exceed the norm. Frequent contenders in the local, provincial, and national SAM Awards, including several Awards of Excellence, they build original homes that host exciting artistry and ambience.

“Since 1991 we have been building custom homes with our in-house design and a responsive, hands-on approach from start to finish,” says President Rob Petersen. Providing professional one-on-one service from their sales, design, and construction departments, homeowners can be confident that their needs and aspirations will be addressed in style.

Craftsmanship is a focus and relationship at Carriage where select trades have been with the company for twenty-five years. Rejecting the norms of cookie-cutter construction, the staff works hard to incorporated your needs into your home and your budget. “Our style is influenced by Tuscan décors with stressed millwork and hardwoods and lots of natural stone,” shares Petersen, who strives to deliver a true masterpiece every time.

Their show home The Firenza, located in the picturesque community of Keswick, displays just over 2,300 square feet on the main level and 1,850 square feet of walkout flows in this character-rich bungalow. “Keswick is in a great area that is close to nature and the river, the shops of Windermere, and the Anthony Henday, which get you everywhere fast,” admits Petersen, who builds in Edmonton’s best communities.

Designed for a couple or a family with older children, the main level is open and engaging with master bedroom access providing easy living on a single level. Downstairs, activity and entertainments are addressed with a home theatre, lounge area, gym, and an engaging bar area with wine room.

“Visitors say they like the entire floor plan,” says Petersen. This is a popular model and we have sold different variations of it, tweaking it each time to address lifestyle and function. It strikes a chord with many empty nesters with secondary bedrooms at walkout. Given the colour palette and quality of interior finishes, they walk in and say ‘ I could live here’.”

Elegance, beauty, function and pure desirability combine to make each Carriage Signature Home a true work of art. Truly, great architecture and interior design is a brilliant combination.
