Introducing Dekton® Ukiyo, a new textured collection of linear fluting design, it offers liveable luxury with the durability of Dekton. A versatile surface made from more than 20 minerals, Dekton is a value-laden finish that is UV, scratch, and stain resistant with thermal shock resilience. Enhancing floors, walls, and exteriors facades, its inclusive applications afford finish consistency finesse with optimum customization.
Created in collaboration with the internationally recognized, high-end interior and product designer, Claudia Afshar, Dekton® Ukyo (meaning ‘live in the moment’) is inspired by Japanese and contemporary design that celebrates the art of minimalism. Available in ready-to-install fluted tiles, it is one of the first offerings of its kind with textures that bring distinctive depth and dimension to any space.
Capturing a rich palette of emotions and sensations, Dekton® Ukiyo showcases a geometric yet smooth structure that creates cohesive and luxurious designs both inside and out. Designed especially for vertical cladding applications, Afshar selected five existing Dekton colourways in a matte finish and two fluting options to provide a comprehensive colour palette that works both independently and together.
“Playing with texture is timeless and is so important in all materials, not just fabric,” shares Claudia Afshar. “I have always been inspired by the materials found in nature and making the spaces I design as comfortable, warm, and authentic as possible. Ukiyo is calming yet simplistic and the colourways and fluting are romantic, but also contemporary and masculine to achieve balance.”
As part of Cosentino’s sustainability mandate, Dekton products are full lifecycle carbon neutral and are notably the only cradle-to-grave carbon–neutral surface.
