Rooted in its industry for generations, the Townsend family has been active in the sustainable forestry and sawmilling sector since the 1950’s. “We started manufacturing our own hardwood flooring as a complement to our existing businesses. At its core, BreezeWood continues to sustain a deep respect for the land and a strong commitment to responsible forest management,” states Laura Townsend, with a focus to maintain this achievement for many generations to come.

“Our products incorporate state-of-the-art nanotechnology to deliver industry-leading durability that outlasts scuffs, spills, and provides phenomenal finish clarity that enhances the natural beauty of the wood,” adds Laura. Vacuuming, sweeping, or using a dry Swiffer cloth is often all that’s needed to keep these hardwood floors looking their best.

From harvesting, milling, and finishing to North American distribution and delivery, BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring is committed to a unique level of integration, which ensures that high quality and ethical standards are upheld every step of the way from harvest to home. “It’s of vast importance that all of our flooring is made from wood that has been responsibility harvested, using environmentally sound practices,” asserts Laura.

A product very much directed by trends and innovations, the hardwood flooring market has seen many changes in the last decade. The popularity of wide plank flooring has increased the demand for engineered hardwoods. Dimensionally more stable, it has a capacity for wider width formats than solid hardwood flooring. “Ten years ago, most engineered hardwood flooring was imported from overseas. In response, BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring designed a high quality, 100% Canadian engineered hardwood floor, which has been very well received by North American consumers,” says Laura.

With the popularity of wide width and long plank flooring still going strong, BreezeWood has recently introduced a new solid, wood flooring product. “Our XL (Extra-Long) plank flooring, which is available in Rustic, Traditional, and Select grades offers a ¾-inch solid hardwood floor that features extra-long (up to 12 feet in length) boards in random lengths,” she describes.

These in-demand and on-trend engineered and solid hardwood products from BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring not only provide durable, timeless luxury to your home, but also allow one to do so while using the most sustainable and authentic Canadian hardwood flooring on the market.
