Rachel Pick photographed Dr. Lori Brotto in Vancouver. Brotto and her team at the University of British Columbia Sexual Health laboratory focus on the psychophysiological aspects of sexual arousal in women. Low sexual desire is common (one in three women experience it), and the team studies the role of chronic stress in women’s low desire, addresses the myths surrounding it and highlights what can be done to help it.
