The Wynwood neighborhood used to be a warehouse-filled ghost town. Now every visitor to Miami comes to the art park known as Wynwood Walls to Instagram murals by Kenny Scharf, Invader, Shepard Fairey, and other artists. While you’re there, drop by the appropriately named Avant Gallery (avantgallery.com) to see its contemporary collection of fine art, sculpture, photography, and mixed media presented alongside modern furniture, lighting, wall, and floor designs. It’s about a 20-minute cab ride ($30) from the hotel.
