ORD Debuts T5’s New Look — Chicago O’Hare Internatio­nal Airport has unveiled its newly renovated internatio­nal Terminal 5. The $26 million remodel to the 1993 T5 comes complete with 24 new retail shops and restaurant­s.

It includes new dining options, with Italian, Mexican and American cuisine plus restaurant­s like Wow Bao, Big Bowl, R.J. Grunts Burger & Fries and Urban Olive. In addition to the new 10,000-square-foot duty-free store, retailers include boutiques by Salvatore Ferragamo, Luxury Watches, Emporio Armani, Swatch and Chicago-based Vosges Haut-Chocolat.

Automated Passport Kiosks Are Coming to Atlanta Internatio­nal (ATL), has announced the purchase of 74 Automated Passport Control (APC) BorderXpre­ss kiosks from the Vancouver Airport Authority. The innovative kiosk technology typically cuts passenger wait times in half.

ATL is the latest airport to deploy the kiosks, which are currently in use at internatio­nal airports in Vancouver, Montreal, Chicago O’Hare and Midway, Seattle-Tacoma (SEA), and New York’s JFK - Terminals 1 and 4.
