Delta Launches Expanded Seattle Service – Delta Air Lines is offering new daily nonstop service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to London Heathrow Airport. The route is part of Delta’s joint venture with Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Delta has also expanded Seattle service from Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau, A ; Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, OR, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose, CA; and Vancouver. In June, Delta is inaugurating new international service from Seattle to Seoul and Hong ong.

Virgin America Announces Love Field Destinations – Travelers are now able to y from Dallas’ Love Field DAL to LaGuardia, Reagan, LA and San Francisco aboard Virgin America. This is more fallout from the American/US Airways merger slot divestitures.
Daily SFO, LA and DCA to DAL service starts Oct. 13. LGA to DAL daily ights start on Oct. 28. Virgin America is also planning to move its current operations from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Love Field in October.
In other route news, Virgin America has announced a second daily ight from San Francisco to Austin, TX, starting July 8. The new morning departure time complements the current afternoon service.

Emirates Brings Daily A380 Service to DFW – Emirates, the world’s largest operator of the A380, will be deploying the superjumbo onto its daily service between Dubai and Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport (DFW) starting Oct. 1. Aboard the A380, the daily ights will offer 14 suites in the First Class cabin, 76 seats in Business and 399 in Economy.

SAS Heads Directly to Houston – Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is launching nonstop service between Stavanger, Norway and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, beginning Aug. 20. The service will be aboard a Boeing 737700 with just 44 business seats in the SAS Long Haul Business Class concept. Flights will operate daily except Saturdays.
