In the 2015 Best in Business Travel Awards, the accent is on both consistency and innovation

Since 1988, when Business Traveler first asked its readers to choose who does travel better than anybody else, the changes in business travel have been nothing short of revolutionary. Virtually no segment of the industry has been immune from the forces of consolidation, disruption, technology and globalization that have wrought equally dramatic changes in practically every facet of today’s world.

But while these changes make headlines, behind the scenes the elite of the travel industry are busy adopting, adapting, innovating and growing. In other words, the best companies in business travel are not standing still but continue to do what they’ve always done – providing travelers with exceptional products and services that make life on the road more productive, more profitable and more amiable.

Whatever the changes or the challenges over the past 27 years, one thing has remained constant: Our readers ’demand for excellence in travel. That’s the source authority for the Best in Business Travel Awards 2015. The fact that any company is voted to join this exclusive winners ’circle means they have brought to the business travel experience that extra measure of quality.

It’s Your Call

As always, it’s the voice of the business traveler that determines each nominee for the Best in Business Travel Awards. The recipients are those providers of services and products in the travel industry who have been voted the best in the travel industry by you, the readers of Business Traveler. No one from our staff had any part in pre-selecting companies or picking the recipients. So these awards truly reflect our readers ’choices.

This year, awards went to 34 recipients in 48 different categories, including the best airlines, hotel companies and car rental, both by regions and worldwide, plus such categories as airports, loyalty programs and today’s allimportant – and seemingly ubiquitous – mobile technology.

And while ‘disrupter’ may be a headline-grabbing term in the travel industry, in fact, these awards demonstrate that what business travelers value is both consistency of service and innovation in delivery. In the travel industry staying on top means never resting on any laurels. The fact is that a win last year does not guarantee a first place finish this year.

Each new turn in the road reveals ever higher levels of innovation and inspiration. And taken together, that spells a richer travel experience for you, the business traveler. In the end, it raises the bar for everyone, which means all of us in the business of business travel come out the winners.

Winners’ Circle

The awards categories have been grouped together according to industry sectors, geographical regions or areas of focus. The eight groups are: Best Airlines by Region, Best Air Travel Experience, Best Global Hotel Experience, Best Hotels by Region, Best Loyalty Programs, Best Places to Connect, Best Traveler Tools and Productivity Boosters, and the Best in Global Travel.
