JAL and Hawai­ian An­nounce Ex­ten­sive Code­shar­ing Deal

Hawai­ian Air­lines and Ja­pan Air­lines have signed an agree­ment that pro­vides for ex­ten­sive code­shar­ing, lounge ac­cess and fre­quent flyer pro­gram rec­i­proc­ity. The agree­ment, which takes ef­fect March 25, 2018, al­lows JAL pas­sen­gers un­lim­ited ac­cess to Hawai­ian’s neigh­bor is­land and Ja­panHawaii net­work. Hawai­ian Air­lines will have full ac­cess to JAL’s do­mes­tic net­work.

Loy­alty mem­bers for both car­ri­ers will be able to earn miles on code­share flights with ad­di­tional op­por­tu­ni­ties to be added later, and guests will have ac­cess to both air­lines’lounges. The cur­rent Hawai­ian Air­lines code­share with All Nip­pon Air­ways will end next March.
