Step inside glass castle with city views
The Casel is beginning to look like it’s fit for royalty — and indeed, those who buy in the latest condominium development to rise on the border of the close-in neighbourhoods of Shaganappi and Killarney in the southwest, will feel like kings and queens.
Created by the Niklas Group, Casel is one of the few closein highrise condos in today’s economy that is under construction.
But more than that, it sits on a hill at the corner of 24th Street and 17th Avenue S.W., where the whole city skyline stretches out below. Views from various suites will be unobstructed.
The development offers 56 units with a commercial site at the bottom and secured under- ground parking. It is now built to the second level of the parkade and first occupancies are expected by late summer of next year. With the commercial space, about 58 per cent of the project has sold and the developer is now offering an aggressive price policy for a select few units.
Two, two-bedroom units are priced at $379,000 and $384,900 — and Niklas Group will match the down payment to a maximum of five per cent.
In addition, the developer is able to obtain financing at special rates from 2.99 per cent.
A few one-bedroom units are available as well — with one unit left at $299,000. Some with one bedroom and a den start in the low $300,000s. Otherwise, two-bedroom plans range from the low $400,000s to the low $500,000s.
The homes have features that include contemporary or more transitional finishes, with specifications such as Corian countertops in kitchens that can be upgraded to Quartz, a tiled backsplash, and hardwood in the kitchen and entry that can be upgraded to include the main living areas.
The developer has opened a sales centre at 14th Street and 15th Avenue S.W. that has typical finishes and rooms that duplicate the standards used in Casel.
Another project by Niklas Group is in the Marda Loop area and a show home is on site. It, too, has information about Casel.
The second location is a group of 16 townhouses which is already built with both two-and three-bedroom models. Five are left with prices ranging from
