Advice in the air

Calgary Herald - Calgary Herald New Condos - - Front Page - — Kathy McCormick

No-cost and low-cost lifestyle changes can make your home easier to live with if you have asthma, says a federal agency. Other than the obvious advice to stop smoking, follow these tips: don’t idle your car in the attached garage, avoiding vehicle exhaust getting into your house; do not rely on plants to get rid of pollutants — the soil can be a source of mould; avoid using candles and oil lamps because they create soot that can be breathed; and stop using air fresheners and deodorizers to mask odours because they add pollutants to the air.
