There are just five different floor plans in the latest condo development to spring up in the established community of North Haven, but each is a gem.

You know you’re in for a treat as soon as you see Havenworth from the street.

The unique building looks like something you’d find in the highest-end resort properties in Canmore.

It has a meticulous attention to every small detail, along with ample use of rock and beams to highlight areas.

There are also large, wrap-around balconies up high and patterned, stamped concrete walks mixed with generous landscaping.

The condo has just 20 units altogether, with five per floor — each accessed from a central hallway that’s in an octagonal shape, with doors into each suite at each angle highlighted with a granite floor plate.

Inside each unit, estate finishes are everywhere, including domed windows with deep, rich African mahogany frames matching the wide baseboards.

Exotic wood is a key to the elegant decor. Lyptus wood cupboards are in a flat Mission style in kitchens, topped with twists of metal for handles.

The floors are an engineered Pangali ironwood that resembles the warm, vibrancy of rich teak. Interior doors are another unique finish: Sapelle wood in a horizontal grain.

Rock is in abundance, as it is outside. Look for it on walls surrounding the gas fireplace and in unique tile treatments between upper and lower kitchen cabinets.

Several show suites are on display, each with its own special finishes and treatments, but only one is furnished and decorated.

SKitchen appliances are all topof-the-line, including Miele dishwashers with the controls inside the door panels, and a Jenn-Air side-by-side fridge and oven.

Units range from 1,130 square feet for a two-bedroom model to 1,905 square feet for a three-bedroom model.

All units have heated and secured underground parking with storage lockers. Bigger units have two underground stalls. The top floor has 12-to 14-foot ceilings and the already-mentioned wraparound decks. Other floors have 9.5-foot ceilings and two separate balconies or patios, as the case may be.

Because some units face 14th Street, triplepaned windows have been used to cut down on traffic noise.

The convenient location is just a few minutes drive from John Laurie Boulevard, so access to Deerfoot Trail or points west — including Foothills Hospital, Market Mall or the Trans-Canada Highway to Banff — is fast and convenient.

At the same time, because the community is already long-established, services are close and convenient. The Calgary Winter Club, for instance, is directly adjacent to Havenworth.

An open concept design that features exotic woods as well as oak are hallmarks of each suite in the Havenworth development by Courtenay Investments Ltd.
