Mountain of resale available in project
There are many resale opportunities within the Dove Mountain communities, says Tucson realtor Glenda Grow.
They include the more affordable family community of The Villages, where homes of 1,500 to 2,000 square feet are priced from $125,000 to $250,000 US.
There is also the semi-custom gated communities of Dos Lagos and Solana, where homes typically measure 3,000 to 4,500 square feet and are priced from $500,000 to $800,000.
Other developments include the 50-plus active adult community of Heritage Highlands, which offers a range of homes from 1,400 to 2,600 square feet at prices of $150,000 to $500,000.
At just under 1,3000 units, the project has a large community centre, pool complex and exercise facility.
Residents have access to the private golf course on either an annual fee or daily fee basis.
“This is the time of year that we find inventory of active listings rise in our active adult and resort-style communities such as Heritage Highlands and Dove Mountain,” says Grow. “All the snowbirds love to come for our warmth and sunshine during their harsh winters — so it’s a good time for homes to be on market.”
As of December, Dove Mountain’s median resale price was $280,000, including Heritage Highlands. The median is the middle of the range of market prices.
Heritage Highlands’ median price was $245,000 as of the end of December.
“Many of the Canadian residents of Dove mountain either live at Heritage Highlands or started out living in the community and have moved elsewhere within Dove Mountain,” says Grow.
