Inner-city project best of all worlds
Galleries Renfrew offers townhouses in community close to downtown
Prior to the onset of the recession in mid-2007, Gene Fabro was among the many multi-family housing developers in Calgary who were riding high, only to be sent reeling as the economic downturn turned the tap off on demand.
The late Frank Sinatra had a song that fits what happened: “That’s life — that’s what all the people say. You’re riding high in April, shot down in May. But I know I’m gonna change that tune, when I’m back on top, back on top in June.”
It’s now June 2011, four years after the economic downturn hit the housing industry.
From his inner-city office, Fabro is talking about his newest venture — the 12-unit Galleries Renfrew.
