Build­ing per­mits have been ap­proved by city of­fi­cials for more town­houses in Cur­rie Bar­racks.

Homes by Avi — which is build­ing the Vic­to­ria Cross town­houses in the Canada Lands Co. de­vel­op­ment — is mov­ing for­ward with con­struc­tion fol­low­ing the ap­proval of more than $5 mil­lion worth of per­mits from the city’s de­vel­op­ment and build­ing ap­provals depart­ment.

The per­mits were for three build­ings.

Cur­rie Bar­racks is the fi­nal phase of the rede­vel­op­ment of the for­mer Cana­dian Forces Base Cal­gary on the west side of Crowchild Trail at the Flan­ders Av­enue exit.

In ad­di­tion to the Cur­rie per­mits, city of­fi­cials also gave the nod to a hand­ful of other projects, ap­prov­ing per­mits for more than $9 mil­lion worth of multi-fam­ily res­i­den­tial de­vel­op­ment.
