It’s because of these strengths that more Canadians are looking in the U.S. for second homes, as well as alternatives such as Quintess, he says.

Other destinations include Florence, London and Paris, as well as experiences in Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, the Galapagos Islands and the Mediterranean Sea through Quintess Beyond — a new membership plan that provides once-in-a-lifetime vacations.
Members pay a one-time refundable deposit and initiation fee, with annual dues based on the specif ic customized membership plan desired.
With concerns surrounding the international economy and its impact on real estate, there has been an increase in interest on destination club membership instead of buying, says Miller.
“The Quintess Collection has doubled membership sales revenue in the f irst six months of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010, and expects to be up by 250 per cent for the year,” he says. “We are optimistic and looking forward to continued strong growth in 2012.”
