Fresh start for buyer at Mint
First time’s a charm for new homeowner in New Brighton townhome project
Matthew Mackay has parachuted into homeownership. A construction worker with hundreds of skydives under his belt, Mackay was ready to jump into the Mint project in New Brighton.
He was first in line with his down payment. “I love the area,” he says. “I live just over in Copperfield and I love the area. There’s a hospital being built over there and it’s close to Deerfoot.
“It’s my first time (buying a home) and I wanted a townhome — and I wanted a big townhome. I like space.”
Mackay bought the biggest home in the development for $318,500.
At almost 1,700 square feet, the two-storey corner unit has three bedrooms upstairs, a large great room and a two-car garage.
