TIME TO CELEBRATE
Two families celebrated moving into their Habitat for Humanity homes in the southeast community of Auburn Bay.
The duplex homes broke ground last March as part of Women Build Week, which saw women helping construct the houses. Each side of the duplex is about 1,100 square feet with three bedrooms and is built to the platinum standard of BuiltGreen Canada, a program promoting eco-friendly housing.
“Putting families into a position where they can thrive is one of the main reasons why Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta builds affordable homes for low-income working families,” says Leslie Tamagi of Humanity Southern Alberta in a news release.
