Calgarians are always on the hunt for new and exciting recreation destinations, and Chestermerebased Vivo Resorts has found a new jewel along Mexico’s southwest Pacific coast.

The city of Puerto Escondido offers everything from watersports to dolphin-watching, and Vivo is now in Phase 2 of luxury oceanfront-property development in this untapped area.

“Now, more than ever, people are looking for value. We’re able to sell beautiful beachfront property at amazing price points you don’t f ind anyplace else in Mexico,” says sales and marketing director Chuck Ashton.

For example, there are two-bedroomtwo-bath properties available from $219,000. “We have a huge array of condos between $219,000 and $240,000,” says Ashton.

As of April, 48 condos will have been completed, with Phase 3 underway, says Ashton.

On-site amenities at the beachfront resort include a swim-up bar and this year, poolside dining will also be available, he says. Construction of a clubhouse with even more amenities, such as a second pool, a spa and a kids’ club, is planned for later this year.

Vivo continues to offer i ts popular Stay & Play program, giving Albertans a chance to come down and spend a few days i n one of the condos and experience the Vivo l i festyle for themselves.

Meanwhile, the company recently established the Vivo Foundation, a charity that allows Vivo to support environmental initiatives and other causes around Puerto Escondido, says Ashton.

“That’s always been part of our vision for Vivo, to become more involved in the local community,” he says.
